Reading your readiness
Readiness · Jun 5, 2026 · 4 min read
Readiness is the body's way of telling you how much it has left to give today. The signals are quiet, but they are there: how you slept, where your resting heart rate sits, how your heart rate variability is trending.
One bad night is noise
A single rough night is not a reason to change a plan. Patterns are. We look at the trend, not the blip, so a one-off late night does not derail a good week and a genuine dip does not get ignored.
Permission to push
Readiness cuts both ways. On a strong morning it is permission to press a little harder than the plan. The point is not to train timidly. It is to spend your hard days when your body can actually cash the cheque.
