What happens to my data when I disconnect a source?
New data stops, and Trailwise's access to the service ends. For Polar, WHOOP, Withings, Intervals.icu and Apple Health, the copy Trailwise already holds stays, under Trailwise's own retention rules, until you delete it, so your history and scores do not change.
Two kinds of source work differently. Strava: everything Trailwise received from Strava is deleted within 30 days, and you get an email when it is done. If Trailwise ever has to restore a backup, it deletes that Strava data again. Only a deletion made after the last daily backup could be missed, and only if the live database itself were lost. The same happens when you remove Trailwise in your Strava settings or ask for your Strava data to be deleted. Sessions that also reached Trailwise another way, such as an uploaded file, stay. Calendars (Google Calendar, an Apple Calendar link and your iPhone calendar): disconnecting removes their appointments from Trailwise, and your training plans no longer take that calendar into account.
Disconnecting Google Calendar also removes the upcoming sessions, race days and race tasks Trailwise added to your Google account, and disconnecting Intervals.icu removes the upcoming workouts Trailwise put on your Intervals.icu calendar and ends a plan you imported from it. Past entries stay where they are, and Trailwise only ever removes what it wrote itself. You can delete everything one source sent at any time, without disconnecting it or deleting your account, on the same page as account deletion under Settings > Account and data.
